Thornless Blackberry
Massive berries festoon the friendlier canes of this thornless blackberry variety. The flowers are just as big and showy as the berries, working double duty as an ornamental feature as well as a berry producing machine. Pruning is much easier, with no ripped sleeves, no cursing at the thorns and no bloody forearms! Canes are very vigorous, sometimes growing up to 12 ft. in a single year! This can be tamed by periodic pruning, which results in a stouter plant with more fruit bearing branches. The canes aren’t self-supporting however so this is best planted up against a fence or trellis. Self-fertile
Zones 4-9
Ships as a dormant bare-root plant
